Hi, Im not really upto date with current requirements for entrance into music college, however BIRMINGHAM CONSERVATOIRE does no come under UCAS and you have to apply directly to the institute, and alot sooner than UCAS as interviews and auditions are usually held in January, They normlly require a prerequisite of Grade 8 in your principal study and usually suggest Grade 6 Piano, however you will have to check further details for your specific instrument. Only people that are considered for entry are called to audition and when I had mine, (Im a singer by the way) I had to sing 2 prepared pieces and then they selected an additional piece from a list that I had said I had worked on in he past. Then they ask you why you want to study there and what you think you can offer to the school. Thats about it really. Best thing to do is give them a ring or go and visit them, Do you know where it is? Just pop in a ask the security guard if they can ring someone to talk to you, alternatively request a prospectus off the website and take it from there. Good Luck
