was just wondering whether you have 2 play the cadenza in the first movement in the grade 8 exam. i have a version just now with lots of semiquaver runs in, and i was also wondering whether they needed 2 be double tongued.
any ideas?

Erm, as far as I know (I'm also intending to take grade 8 this year), the first movement isn't on the syllabus. I just checked and it's the third movement from the Concert in G that's on it, and there isn't a cadence in that one. Are you talking about the ABRSM syllabus?

You're right july, currently it's just the 3rd movement of the Mozart on the ABRSM syllabus. As for cadenzas (any cadenzas), you don't have to play them in an Associated Board grade unless it says so in the syllabus.
