You are a person with no clue about music.

You look at a piece of music.

You think "What on EARTH do all this dots and lines mean?"

You have the CD to the sheet music and try to follow the music.

To the untrained eye they're just a bunch of dots and lines, but to musicians like us it's an amzing piece of music! When music is just on the page thats all it is: lines and dots. When you PLAY it, it can be a piece that you can dance to, a piece that will reduce you to tears or a even piece that just sounds amusing.

My point is: every single person on this forum is very special and talented indeed

Thanks for that, HelloKitty ! I had a similar thought myself recently - a girl in my year is really bright and gets top marks in everything but cannot even sing a scale. Experienced a bit of "Schadenfreude" there but it also made me think of that huge area of life that people who aren't interested in music miss out on! Though I suppose that really sporty people would say the same about sports!

One thing I'd like to add;

Music is the only form of language that everyone in the world can understand; people will understand a sad piece, a happy piece, a jazzy piece. Music can convey so many emotions, and even the cleverest person in the world may not be able to do that. That makes music so special to me.
