I've just phoned the ABRSM because I still haven't heard about my exam (I booked for the last week of Feb / 1st week March). The guy informed me that it was because there were no slots available at my centre for that week, so they'd stuck me in the week starting 13 March. That's a really busy week for me, and also a week when my teacher can't come with me to accompany me.

Now scrabbling about trying to find an accompanist. Sigh.

If you really want your teacher to accompany you it's often possible to change weeks if you offer to change centres too. So if you have transport and other nearby centres (and a teacher who is willing to travel) then you might still have a chance .

Don't feel 'got at' it's not just you, everyone has to go through the same system of not knowing in advance etc.
