Hello everyone.
Recently, I've been feelign very uninspired by my music (not so much on violin). It's like wirter's block but for music. Does anybody else have this???

It's really annoying me and holding me back but i really
can't play!
Regards, Hellokitty

I have had stages when I've felt very uninspired but after a while it went a while. Perhaps just give it time.

Well, the neat thing is, as you play two instruments of entirely different characters you can take it easy on one of them while continuing on the other. Then, later on, reverse the activities. When you want to be sociable, play the violin in an ensemble; when you want to be more private, play your piano. Sometimes the subconcious needs time to digest what you've learnt too, and so stops you taking on more until that process is complete (maybe!).

Yes, I feel like this sometimes. Infact it is the same with school work. I find the best thing to do is go and relax, have something to eat and come back refreshed.

Or even with instrument practise a break of a couple of days is good.

I have been suffering a similar problem for the last 6 months, nearly. I just didn't want to acknowledge the piano, let alone play it. I don't know why it happened, but I was reluctant to force myself in case I did more harm than good.
It's been a long time now, but I have finally got my inclination back. Thank goodness. I can't really offer any advice, but I hope your block doesn't last as long as mine did.

I get this alot when I;m composing, but after I've had rest, & composeda main theme, I'm fine. With piano, it often happens if I DONT LIKE THE Music, but hey!!
