I am really looking to buy the amati bass clarinet because of the bore size (smaller like mine is) and because of the register mechanism working off of the a key (from what I can see....I have an alto at home with a similar mechanism and it gets stuck less that the one based on the thumb key) I was wondering how they sound and if they are good for people with small hands (I have a hard time with vito and bundy pinky keys which makes me shy away from leblanc and selmer seeing as they own those companies) I hate Yamaha and buffet seems too expensive...is Amati a good solid bass clarinet? does it sound good and can it hald the altissimo range?
