Katyjay was very brave to sing through laryngitis today and still carry it off well. In particular the Songs of the three Birds which were beautifully descriptive and sung in Welsh.
Other highlights were the amusing Hello, O Margaret its you from Menotti's opera The Telephone which captured the exasperation and inflection of the caller perfectly and the humerous encore I hate Music!
It's hard when you know that you're not going to be at your best, but still, Katyjay showed the mark of a true performer here.
