I'm scared. I actually really want to pass. And it's my first theory exam ever.

my music teacher really wants me to pass it and it gives me lots of pressure

There are quite a few of us doing it - pop over to the Forums Cafe and look for the "Grade 6 Theory Challenge" thread. Forum candidates include me , AnotherPianist, YetAnotherPianist, bohemian, mrbouffant and jm-hamilton; I think I've seen that deviless and a couple of others are sitting it as well.

I haven't done any exams at all since 1994, and the last theory exam I did was in 1987, so it's not just figured bass I'm having to revise. As long as I pass I'll be happy, and any marks above the pass mark will be a bonus!

I'm doing Grade 6 theory as well but the exam date here in Singapore is 11th March 2006.
My teacher's giving me a mock one this saturday....fingers crossed~~
Hopefully Q4 and Q5 wouldn't be too bad.

i think what i good at and what i can get most marks from are Qs 4 and 5

Me too. I've been doing lots questions from these sections and hoping to get really good marks. My next best is the figured harmony question, the composition one is the one I'm dreading most.
