Is the "stick" part of the bow (i was unsure on what to call it laugh.gif) supposed to be fat at the ends of the horse hair and thin in the middle?

If so then the bow that came with my cello is a bit poory crafted as it is thick in the middle of the horsehair and thin on the 2 ends ohmy.gif

Hey,
I think that all bows are different depending on where it was made and who by. I have a German Violin, but my bow is made from Brazilian wood, which I noticed is different to my old bow that was younger and much cheaper. Perhaps you could look on the internet for an answer. If you know the make of the bow and what wood was made from that may help smile.gif
I wouldn't have thought it is poorly crafted, possibly just differently made tongue.gif

My bow is thicker at the heel end and tapers to the point.
