Hey! Just wondered if anyone else was doing Grade 6 Piano this year?

I am doing Grade 6 piano this term too. I'm very nervous but figure I'll just do the best I can & see what happens. What pieces are you doing? I'm doing: Allegro, Vals Poetico & Lavender's Kind of Blue.

As Maggiemay said, there is a thread on grade 6 in the piano forum & if you do a search there should be lots of others too.

I started a thread in Viva Piano here: http://forums.abrsm.org/index.php?showtopic=13432 But it's mainly a moany thread by me I'm taking Grade 6 piano this term: my pieces are Corant, Vals Poetico and Prayer of the Matador.

Cool, im not doing the exam until November / December, and i've yet to decide on the piece from group A, but im doing Vals Poetico (sounds a popular choice!) and Feelin' Good (i just love that one!!)

my teacher has chosen Allegro, Vals poetico no.5 and Bagatelle no.9 for me...
these are all 3rd pieces... a coincidence ,,I wonder

Your teacher has chosen them for you? Aren't you allowed to choose them yourself? After all, it is you that's going to have to play them.....

Exactly what I thought! I get my teacher's opinion but he doesn't choose them for me.

just started - allegro, feelin good and probably the waltz, but i like all the pieces! i'll probably end up learning the whole book anyway
