Have now downloaded the pictures from my camera which "Photo Expert" (TAFKACE) took
I have digitally remastered some to take out superfluous backgrounds and in some cases brighten them up when the flash didn't reach. Just now have to work out how to get them up here!
Test photo of StuMac rehearsing

Ohh that worked!
OK I'll try some more

Another good lot of photos! I was a bit startled to see the one with me leaning over to talk to Katyjay while Sarah is singing - I thought 'what on earth has happened to my face' - but on looking more closely, the scroll of my violin is just in the position where my profile would be. Crikey - it gave me a bit of a fright!!

Yes, they look good! There were a few not-so good ones (e.g. my finger getting in the way of one of the photos (

I'm having a lot of trouble downloading Brian's pictures as I can't get them anything but giant sized, in spite of changing the size in photoshop. I'm just going to romove Andy-piano-flute giant-sized, posted in error as I thought I'd clicked the Preview button!

Sorry, folks, but I seem to have spent most of today trying to get these photos on and I've run out of ideas of how to reduce the size.
sarah-flute
Feb 19 2006, 02:50 PM
SuePea, the one you posted of Andrea and Jane came up at a reasonable size here, maybe your browser hadn't caught up with the fact you had changed the pic? (that sometimes happens)
It looked fine here, anyway, unless I'm completely confused and that was a different person's photo...

Feb 19 2006, 02:51 PM
Sue, is it possible to save them in a smaller size when you download them from the camera? Perhaps that would be the way to work it.

Is HTML allowed on the forums? If so you could reduce the size.

Can you remember what you did with the photos from the September concert? Because I seem to recall that you initially had trouble with them but then worked out what to do - and they were brilliant! Maybe you mention what you did to solve the problem on the 'It's getting closer' thread from back then?

It's not the same problem - I have downloaded from Photobucket successfully, but they appear - on my screen at least - to be absolutely huge. Andrea alone filled the screen and it's a fraction of the whole picture. I'm puzzled that sarah-flute has apparently see it at a reasonable size. I have reduced the size of the image in Photoshop, but it appears to make no difference to the size on the screen. I'll post just one of them again and see what happens.

It looks huge again to me.

And here. I think for some reason your browser is "remembering" the larger size even when you have changed the photo. Try refreshing a few times, or delete the cache and try again.
The width of that photo here is about the same as your section of writing:
"difference to the size on the screen. I'll post just"

I'll post the others then. Fortunately there are only five altogether at the moment - the rest are on film and will be processed tomorrow. The width of the writing - and the photo - on my screen is such that I have to pull the green bar as far as possible to the right iand down in order to see the whole lot.

It wasn't just my computer, then. I suspect a problem with the Photoshop program as I know Brian has been having trouble with the originals coming up too big and being unable to change them. Now the mystery is why the one of Andrea and Jane was apparently viewed at normal size and the rest weren't. They were all altered to be smaller.

Well most of the men were just too whimpish to get up and perform.
Good job StuMac, Booney and Kenm were there to represent the side, at least there were a few real men who were not too scared to do their stuff in front of an audience!

Hi everyone, I've managed to empty my camera, and I would like to share the photos with you, but I don't know how to do it. Can anyone help.
The photos are on Kodak Easyshare, and I'm being asked for a URL. I don't know what this is or where I can get it from. If nobody can help, I will have to wait until someone who is computer literate comes to visit.
Deborah
Feb 23 2006, 12:32 PM
nannyjay, a URL is another name for a website address, so where are you being asked to enter a URL? If it's on this site, you'd need to enter the web address for your Easyshare site when you click on the "globe and chain" icon.
Alternately, just type the adress of your Easyshare site (e.g.
http://www.kodakgallery.com/nannyjay/Egham) into a reply to this thread and tell us all to copy and paste it into our browser

If it's a query with Easyshare itself I don't think I can help, but post away, someone around here may know.

Nannyjay, a lot of us use Photobucket to get our photos posted on to the Forums. If you click
here there is an "idiot's guide" to using Photobucket, which is very clearly laid out. Hope it helps!
