Was just wondering whether any organ players could advise me on organ scholarships for Oxford. Are there any past/current/prospective scholars that could give me any information about pieces/different colleges/standards expected. I learn at Winchester Cathedral and would be hoping to go for a scholarship starting in 2007.
Thanks,

Most of the organ scholars I've come across, are certainly as good as Cathedral organists and assistant organists. I suspect you'd be looking at ARCO level or beyond for an organ scholarship at Oxford.

Dear Sarah,
Check out www.music.ox.ac.uk and follow the links for organ scholarships.
The Open Day for prospective Choral and Organ Scholars is Saturday 22 April.
Good luck!

Sarah, I'll probably apply for choral scholarship so we should go on a trip to Oxford on the 22nd.

Imagine Natalie will as well although I know she wants to go to Cambridge really...

Aw Alix, are you gonna? It would be such a laugh to go with you and Natalie as well. I'm going to apply to a small-ish college, possibly St. Peter's. I'm going to go and look up train times now!
