Wow, just had such a great practice session. I just ran through my exam pieces, and they sounded fantastic. I think I may have discovered how to support my voice properly, and my voice suddenly sounds so full and amazing - and not just on the low notes! The top notes sound all effortless and fat and round. It was like a sudden miracle happened! I thought I knew about support, but apparently not!

Wahey! Go Meerkat

Isn't it a great feeling when it finally "clicks"?

Rest for half an hour, then do it again!

It's just amazing. I feel like I've just discovered chocolate for the first time, or some other amazing sensory pleasure. I didn't want to stop, but was getting a bit tired! Yes, I'll have another bash in a bit.

Don't go mad and do too much in one day, though, tempting as it is.

Save some for tomorrow.

Not sure it's entirely figured out - it's coming and going. Of course for my lesson this week, it had gone entirely, sigh.

At least you know you can do it - that you are capable of it. That is a huge boost, and if you have "been there" then you have far more idea of what you are aiming for.

Don't worry, it will come back.

Stand in your practice room, mentally put yourself back in the session when it was working and just do it again - and you'll probably find it works again.
