I'm trying to recall a term for a bowing technique for a paper I'm writing but I am a little rusty on such things and cannot find this information anywhere, so:
What is the term for a series of notes played downbow with lifts in between each note?

If it is slow I would go for portato bowing, it is fast then saltando or ricochet.
Spiccato is usually altenate down and up bows.
Good Luck
