Hi there!
No, you don't do scales in singing exams. Instead you do an unaccompanied traditional song as well as the three accompanied songs (if it's grades 1-5) or you do the unaccompanied traditional song and four accompanied songs (grades 6-8)
Sight reading is done, as for any instrument, and the aural tests are the same.
Cheers

oo right ok!
thanks!
I was really wondering how they would have expected you do scales and arpeggios, that would get confusing! What would the traditional song be like? is it in the grade specification or do you choose your own?

You choose your own.

Thats the case for ABRSM. The reason I've swapped my singing pupils to Trinity is that they have to do technical exercises for their exams. Trinity produce their own book, and the exercise are well thought out. There is also the option to do Vaccai studies instead.
For both boards there is also some form of aural and sight-singing exercise.
