I play the piano at the old folks home.
how can I find out what chords go where?
the tunes are in G and C I know what chords they are but I do not know where they go
please help

Look at the melody and see which chord fits best with those notes.
You are likely to find in many places that in each bar (or 2?) the melody notes MOSTLY belong to one chord or another. You choose the best fit... and listen too...
