One of my pupils has her grade 4 flute and grade 1 piano in 2 weeks. I'm very worried!!!

She's never been very keen about practising but is doing really well with that now! However, her flute scales are terrible. I don't really know what more I can do at this stage. I've tried writing little exercises based on those scales, but nothing seems to stick. I'm also very concerned about her piano pieces. They were very good, but suddenly she seems to have lost it on 2/3 and I don't really know what's happened!

Any advice? I really want her to pass!

If you want more suggestions on how to practice scales on woodwind than you can shake a reasonably large stick at, look here - masses to choose from, pick out a couple you think she might stick with and that seem useful and suggest she tries them.
