Chinese Grand Prix this weekend - here are the qualifying results.

Did anyone watch the race??

Great - Michael won it by not very much from Fernando! Pity for Fernando was his team made a slight mistake with tyres in the wet and then there was a problem changing one wheel and lost him a lot of time.

Michael drove an excellently competent race, from 6th on the grid and up to 1st on the podium!
So now he and Fernando have equal points, Michael ahead on wins and two races to go!!!

M in with a good shout for his 8th World Title!!
I know what I'd like to do next Sunday... another early morning

I occasionally watch it with my parents. Kimi Raikkonen - wooo!!

I was brought up on it, my Dad always used to watch it.

I remember sending a birthday card to Damon Hill and got a letter and a t-shirt back!

Schumacher broke down in the last qualifying session. If he needs to change his engine, he'll be starting in 20th.

I heard something about fuel feed problems, so maybe it won't need an engine change.
The Ferrari engines have been so good for years - then let him down just when he could have done without it...

He can still win, but he did say he didn't want to win 'by default' ie Alonso breaking down or crashing out

I hope it's a good race after all this!

why can't they just toss a coin to decide the winner?

Yes it was good. Pity Michael wasn't at least on the podium for his last race though. He is a legend, up there with Senna, Prost, Fangio, all the greats.

Just seen the race - yep, a great shame that Michael didn't make the podium, but otherwise it was a great race!

Well apparently Hamilton is joint-leading the championship, so maybe he's in the race too! I think this is going to be a good season!

Hmm, the race was ok. I watched about 1/2 of it. But it has been the same for a few races - one person runs away from the field.

It was fairly clear that Massa, barring accident, was going to win that race from quite early on.

It's good to see Lewis Hamilton doing so well. He's definitely a big star in the making....

Monaco Grand Prix tomorrow. One of my favourite races of the year.

Wonder if Lewis Hamilton will get his first race win tomorrow?....

I wasn't overly enthusiastic about it though, I just sort of watched in a bemused kind of way, wondering what inspires people to do such a thing as drive round, and round, and...

Same thing that inspires people to play musical instruments. Either you get it or you don't. Tis a rich and varied world, and no mistake.

Yay Hamilton won - and i am also fairly certain that there was a flute! Long time since i last heard the British National Anthem at a Formula 1 race - David Coulthard the last Brit to win a race????

They play it for the constructors' country as well, though, so it's more common than you think.
