Yay Hamilton won

- and i am also fairly certain that there was a flute! Long time since i last heard the British National Anthem at a Formula 1 race - David Coulthard the last Brit to win a race????
Nope. Jenson Button won in Hungary last year.

Hope so. His performances so far suggests he's due a win.

A mostly sunny weekend is forecast, for the first time in ages!

Will be in Harborough when the race is on. Hopefully, when I watch the highlights, I'll witness a good race, and maybe a British win!

There's already a German Grand Prix in Hockenheim, I guess it's to distinguish between the two.
Why there are two races in Germany is a different question altogether, and I don't know the answer to that question...

Hmmm
I'm not sure.
Hamilton ignored team strategy and repeated requests to pull over and let Alonso through earlier on (on the pretext that Kimi might have got through too). That was wrong (at least from the team perspective). He has apologised and promised not to do it again. But ...
There aren't any more circuits this season where qualifying position is SO crucial. This is the last of the 'no-passing' tracks.
What Alonso did was wrong but it was retaliation. Lewis was out of order and he admited it.
Nonetheless I hope he goes on to win the Championship.
