without knowing your programme , I am at a loss over which books to recommend.

At diploma level you are required to do a quick study, not sight read. This means you can work on the odd difficult corner.

Quick study and Viva voce are not the same thing.

Check regulations.

so what are the differences between quick study and viva voce.

I reckon that quick study is something similar to sight reading, and viva voce is to sing a tune of some sort.

I am playing Beethoven sonata in Eflat op. 26,
Bach Toccata and Gershwin.

Oh dear. So you know that there are recommended readings for the viva, but you think it's singing??? You were closer first time! smile.gif

Viva voce is a question and answer session. The examiners will ask you questions about your programme - using your notes as a starting point but covering more than the areas you've covered in your written notes.

Strongly, strongly, strongly suggest you got to the Diploma section on the main AB site and read the syllabus...

I'm at a loss to understand how it is possible to prepare for any diploma and not know what the syllabus requires!
