My voice teacher mentioned that we try to do lots of music from one particular opera. I am looking for something that work properly suit us. This is what I would like
~Many female parts
~Many female arias
~The Following Parts for certain
A very strong mezzo-soprano
A strong not-to high soprano
A maybe ditzy character, higher soprano with great solo arias
~G or PG rated content
~Some chorus work that is easy-ish to learn
Thank you so much!

How high can your highest soprano go? All the way up to top F? If so, how about The Magic Flute?
How many men do you have available for solo parts? If none, try Suor Angelica.

It's more operetta than opera but how about "Orpheus in the Underworld"? Loads of parts, very funny, with some vocal challenges for some of the female roles and a chance for your comic actors to have a really good time. Sticking with Offenbach, there's also 'La Belle Helene'. I haven't done that one but it has the famous "Doll Song" if you have a really high soprano.

Although it probably isn't what you want due to its complex nature, the opera that comes to my mind when a strong female cast is envisaged is Francis Poulenc's
Dialogues des Carmélites, more at

It seems you're putting the cart before the horse. Surely part of being a good singer is to be able to portray any sort of character, be they a bit ditzy or a really strong woman. Exactly what voice types are available? Is there a work you'd all really like to do - could you work around this?

Well I know that this person can play any role... but she has been wanted to try something along these lines and I thought I would give her a chance with this.
Here are parts of ranges that would be very nice:
One soprano- up to a A, B or maybe even a C
One mezzo- strong lower notes (nothing below an A (below middle C) though) and up to G or A
One soprano- not two many notes below middle C but up to a D, E, or maybe even an F (two octaves)-- but she's not quite at the level of the queen of the night aria but still exeptional
