Currently I have a Kawai CS-21AT
In a month's time I'll have a Yamaha C2
My dream piano? Um.... I'm quite satisfied with the C2.
A Steinway Model B will be very lovely to have, but not very necessary

I have an upright Kawai which I absolutley love !
I too would love a Yamaha grand or Schimmel. These are the two I've played in the past (not my own though

)
I would even have a look at the Kawai grand too.

Maybe discuss with him and find all the advantages on that piano, even better play it to him.

My hubby also disagree is buying one digital piano (>US$3000) and he even advise to buy a cheaper keyboard that cost only US$300.
But after we went to Yamaha showroom, he tried on most of the pianos there and felt that it really sound different...
Though he agree to my suggestions but in the end we did not buy because I still need my teacher to recommend me.

I would rather use that money on a double-manual harpsichord

It's true. I was thinking of buying a acoustic piano but it's the weight problem. It's too heavy to move a 100+kg of object around the house. That's why I went for digital instead.

I played the first movement of the Pathetique, could quite happily have carried on and played the rest but didn't have time.
Apparently Jamie Cullum played it 2 weeks before me and stamped on it - arrrggh, didn't leave a footmark though

My parents have a Welmar that I played when I lived at home. When we were in the piano shop, I got my mum to have a go on it before showing her the price tag and she fell in love with it too (evil grin). They'd let me have it now if only I had space. Sadly, with a small flat and neighbours who do shift work, the Clavinova will have to do. Guess I'll just have to visit my parents more often!

Wow what a massive ressurection of a 7 year old thread!
I've got a Hamlyn Klein CJS-108. It's very nice.
I'd like a grand when I grow up - a Bechstein perhaps

Because I love gadgets, I'd love to have
one of these.
I suppose it would be lovely to have a Steinway, but I would also need a detached house to put it in, so that's even more outlandish.
