Well done Joy Joy!!
It's good to see how you're doing. I've got the Jazz from scratch book ...just need to crack on with it.
You're an inspiration to people like me!
What are your next plans?
I am hoping to do grade 4 in the summer, or possibly even grade 5 ... the best thing is, is that i am enjoying it so much, it's a real change to classical piano (even though I love playing both styles). It's great to be able to improvise, as I've never really done much of it properly, before the jazz exams.
Would reccommend the exams to all those who want to learn jazz

congrats!!
i really want to learn jazz piano.!!
is there any difference between jazz piano and normal piano?.
i mean, i'm dipabrsm in piano..
will i find jazz easier??
anyway, just wana ask how do you get your students??
i'm the same level in piano as you and i have no student.
i know i'm pathetic..
hhhahas.
Jazz piano is different because you have to improvise on given chord progressions ... so if you are good at composing and playing by ear I am sure you'd love it.
That's fantastic that you've done your DipABRSM - very inspiring. As for students, I started by advertising in a newsagent and then built my student base through reccommendations - friends, cousins, etc. If you want to teach I am sure you would enjoy it. It's a very rewarding job!
