They understand about nerves but can only really mark what they hear. They can usually tell the difference between not prpeapred and messed up because of nerves because they are experience people.
Definitely - for my grade 4 about 18 months ago, I had to restart several scales and still fluffed a few notes, but because the examiner could see that I was really well prepared - I responded promptly (didn't have to stand there going "um, now, D major...", and played them at a good speed" - and messed up due to nerves, I still only dropped 2 marks. It's impossible to say without having heard them what you will have got, but don't panic! It's only one section of the exam and you are unlikely to have done as badly as you think you did, you get 7 marks just for attempting them, so if your pieces (the main bit) were OK the other bits were OK, then it's unlikely that *just* your scales will have meant you failed

You can't do anything about it now anyway, except to know that your scales were shaky under exam conditions (so prepare them even better next time!) - so, though I know it isn't easy to do, try and forget about it and don't worry, because it will only stress you out and can't change the result
