I am going to be attempting to write a counterpoint variation...*eep*

Is counterpoint the same as contrapuntal?

Cam counterpoint be done with a flute and piano (both hands?)

Thanks!
sbhoa
Yes, counterpoint is the noun and contrapuntal the adjective (if I got my grammar right).
I think it could be ok with the set up you want.

Have you got the Bach sonatas for flute and keyboard? Three of them have fully realised keyboard parts, and these demonstrate counterpoint (of the highest standard) for just your combination. I particular recommend the first and third movements of the B minor sonata. Some people (I am one) know of no better music for flute than this monumental work.
