When going to a concert as an audience, what would you fellow forumers wear?

The reason I ask is, that I'm going to see a concert on the 1st April and I haven't got a clue what to wear.

Whilst it might depend slightly on the venue/type of music etc. I don't think it matters a great deal... Wear what's comfortable!

No need to get dressed up these days (unless its at the ROH, or in Salzburg), unless of course you want to.

I often use a concert for an excuse to get "poshed-up" once in a while.

Depends what kind of concert lol. When it's something like a symphony orchestra i wear formal clothing i.e. shirt, black trousers/black skirt etc.

Thanks for the replies. I'm trying to persuade Mum that it is the perfect time to get that dress I've seen...

Ah, now I understand! laugh.gif

I find that it sometimes get quite hot in theatres and concerts, so that might be a factor to consider.

Enjoy the concert!
