Has anyone tried any music theory software to run on Windows XP? I am looking for a package that is suitable for boys aged 10 and 11 (up to Grade V). They both play the piano.

My daughter is nine, along side her books she uses Cats. She even enjoys it. It is good fun.

Thank you both. The musictheory.net site has two trainers (note and keyboard), which we have found especially useful. Good for a free download.

I have 'teaching you music theory skills'. Which can be brought from WHSmiths. It's really simple to use and teaches up to grade 5.

Hi, check out Harvey's Interactive Music Theory Course - Grade 1.

I suggest you view the video on the website to give you an idea of what the course offers.
