I know scherzi are supposed to be humourous, but I've never actually laughed out loud when playing a piece of 18th century piano music! Anyone else come across this piece?

Me neither, but then I am always too busy trying to hit the occasional right note laugh.gif

In this context, scherzi are supposed to be played in a light, playful fashion. Tongue-in-cheek Beethoven, rather than thunderous\crashing Beetoven a la the Pathetique first movement.

I played it a while ago. I wasn't actually sure what your point about it is but I'd like to know!
