Hi everyone,
I've just had the week from that place that's very hot and rhymes with bell.
I had loads of problems doing my first-year rep duties at college because people weren't co-operating and my computer is riddled with viruses, so I feel like a rubbish first-year rep.
I got my mum a card for mothers' day but no chocolates or flowers, so I feel like a rubbish daughter.
And I got dumped yesterday, so I must have been a rubbish girlfriend.
Oh well, life goes on.

Poor Cheeble
being first year rep can be a right pain, but you've coped pretty well with it so far - and it's nearly the end of term.
I realised this morning I hadn't got my mum a mothers' day card, so you're nothing like as rubbish as me on that one.
And as for that chap in Newcastle, well, it's his loss.
Hope things get better soon

Aaah Cheebs - so sorry! but I'm sure your mum was quite happy. My daughter is in first year at uni and I got a card in the post - that's fine, it's a bit too far to come home for the day. Perhaps you could cook your mum a nice meal if you're going home for Easter ?
Yep - the bloke - it's his loss. And the rep, well at least you were willing to take it on. If the others won't cooperate it really isn't your fault.
Can you get someone to have a look at your computer and install some anti-virus software for you?

hey guys, thanks for all your lovely replies

i'm going to get my computer fixed this week sometime

my mum did cheer up eventually, which was nice. we're going to have another mothers' day at some point next week, where i will not forget to buy flowers, and i will also not get dumped.
i'm already home, have been for a week now... had family staying and it all got a bit stressful, but it's calmed down now... my dad's gone to norway for a week, and my brother's at school most of the days, so it's nice and quiet and i can sit and eat hot cross buns and contemplate life. and of course, post on the forums, although the space bar on this computer is rubbish!
but cheers guys, you're all so lovely!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that Cheebs, it was only a couple of months ago when you started the 'I've had such a good day' thread.

But hey we all have ups and downs in life. Hope you feel better soon.

As others have said, you're a really fab person, and I hope one day I can meet you when I come to see Cambridge. It is his loss, and you deserve a lovely man. Galaxyman is always available

I'll write to you soon if you want

*hugs*, sounds like a pretty awful week! Hope you feel better soon! It's good that you're doing the rep job and quite frankly, it's your boyfriend's loss.

Your ex is clearly an idiot!

Cheeble - as you walk out of one place, you walk into another...and if we didn't have those times which make us feel

, we wouldn't enjoy the

ones nearly as much. Hold tight to that, and things will get better.
I'm lucky. My family never "did" mother's day anyway! (So, as a mum myself, I never missed it, and as a daughter, I didn't have to feel neglectful.)
PS it takes more muscles and therefore more energy to look sad than it does to smile...

I don't know you really, but flowers and chocolates and stuffed teddy bears and a nice massage-y reclining chair for you nevertheless! Feel better!
And I guess mother's day must be different for people in the UK cuz last time I checked it's in May...(I just went up to mom and was like "Uuuuhhh...mom? Did I forget mother's day?" and she was like "...No..." PHEW! You guys scared me)
