I can meet their requirment which is " Over 14 years of age, Playing at a musical instrument started equivalent to ABRSM Grade 5 or above on my chosen musical instrument. Thatthe locations is all in London, Middlesex, Twickenham. Miles away from me but I'll crash at some of my friends house. Yeah. So I'm not sure.. why I even posting this. Maybe to tell you but yeah I am thinking of going but it not there on my placement time and it only there during my school times biggrin.gif so do don't want to miss school.

Do you think I should go off and do it ?

Ive been on two look at life weeks before - one at kneller hall ( the place you are describing) and one at the band of the light devision - in winchester.

if you apply for one of these work experience placements then you will be with several youngsters who will be doing the same as you - they put you up in the barracks - with the phase two musicians who are there at the moment - (it is different if you go to the band of the light div because they take more people - so there you would share a room say with four people on work ex) the whole week/stay is free - they do recoomend that you bring somespending money - the course at knellar hall envolves marching band, wind band rehersals, private practice and a trip to annother band - one based in the centre of london. the look at life with the band of the light div is a mix of physial and music, so some running, exercise, and a night expedition - and the playing with the band - both in the rehersal room and marching (the light div march at double speed - so watch out!!!) i found both of these weeks very good fun ( as i did them in year ten for my work ex) - hope this helps (not to confuse you!)

right, umm, you say you are going with the band of the Adjutant General's Corps - which i dont know anything about - but i do know some things about winchester, it's an army camp used mainly to train phase one recruits - they do thier basic training at winchester. - the band (and bugles) of the light devision are also based on the camp - because the camp is used for basic training there is a large nafi and canteen and a shop on the camp, (the food is not excellent as it is for recriuts who are doing large amounts of physical exercise each day - so theres lots of carbs in it!) when i went with the band of the light devision i stayed in a room with 3 other boys - the dorms are same gender. umm what else... looks inside head...find nothing...
ahh here's the web address for the band http://www.army.mod.uk/bands/agc/index.htm
hope this helps - dont hessitate to pm me if you wish/have a question....

ahh an even more helpful address http://www.army.mod.uk/bands/agc/look_at_life/index.htm

Hello. Ok I have got in and all. But do you arrive at the same time for Keller Hall as the Band of Adjutant general's corps in Winchester by any chance?
