Is anyone here a member of the Clarinet and Saxophone Society of Great Britain, or any similar organisation? If you are then what benefits do you gain from being registered?

Nope, but good question! They're at: http://www.clarinetandsaxophone.co.uk/

There's also the International Clarinet Organisation: http://www.clarinet.org/home.asp

There used to be a European Clarinet and Saxophone Society, but the website hasn't worked for months!

I'm a member, as are jo.clarinet and (I think) barry-clari.

The quarterly magazine has some quite interesting articles (and some dull ones too); you get access to a library of music which may or not be of use, and you get a 10% discount on musical instrument insurance through Allianz Cornhill (by far the most useful benefit!).

Last quarter's magazine came with a couple of free reeds. What a pity they're only strength 2 Ricos...

You think correctly Deborah!

The instrument insurance discount is very useful, other benefits of membership can be found on the link Steve's left.

I'm a member and regularly use their Music Library - a great way to try out pieces! laugh.gif [font=Arial][font=Arial][font=Arial]

Sounds like a candidate for the charity table at a forum concert smile.gif
