So, how much music do you have on your computer? I click on all music at the top of Windows Media Player, and at the bottom, it says I have:
37 hrs, 8 mins, 50 seconds
2.57 Gigabytes....
You?
sarah-flute

Well Naxos does have its uses

. Speaking of Naxos, our collection isn't a patch on the whole Naxos Music Library: 8800 CDs of music

.

Apr 10 2006, 08:49 PM
You mean your collection isn't a patch on that?

- sorry, am easily confused this evening!
Still a pretty good selection though...

It's okay, it's just the old 'undefined pronoun problem'. I've edited it now

It's also my lame brain I'm afraid!
I don't know if I'd ever find time to listen to 8800 cds! (though I'd quite like to try!

)

Ahhh OK

- heh, what an ambition

(I'm afraid my maths is shot at this time of night and trying to even very approximately work it out was not going to happen!

)
Mind you, I'll probably listen to the equivalent of at least a CD a day in that time anyway...

Just over 3GB, but with a 10GB computer that's the absolute max I can get on without deleting all my applications

Sheet music...now that's another story....

Heh. That's what I thought the thread was about before I looked at it, and my response was "Well I'm not about to try and work that out...."

I know I have about 2.5 GB of music in WMA and MP3 on my player, but it's definitely more than that on my dad's laptop (I hijacked it when he was the only one running XP). It thinks it's doing about 19GB (!!!), though part is just ordinary sound files.
Sheet music...probably about 3 A4 boxes full (I suppose you could argue that there tend to be fewer notes in Horn music) and this is disregarding the fact that all my orchestra and band music is back there! Now that's what I wouldn't want to work out.

I used to have much more than 3,57 GB and basically I still do. But the prob is my computer crashed and now it has split into two hard disks and the other half which has all the songs and programs cannot be opened. I call it 'schizophrenic'.

I just inhereted 3 boxes of violin sheet music

On top of my 3 boxes which I call "current repertoire"...then in my house we have a (large) chest dedicated to sheet music, and 6 shelves....

I think this just proves how tired I feel!
Both corrections made (and on top of that, I've actually been reading that thread!). I make fewer (
