I don't want to be cruel, but what has been your lowest ever result????? Mine has been grade 2 recorder, the score was 123 but hey it's still a merit! I'm not going to laugh, it's just curiosity (spelling??)! Feel free to leave ANY comments! This is just a bit of fun!
Thanks

Considering the piano is my first instrument I got and 103 and 110 in my grade 3 & 4 repsectively years ago( I am talking around 1990). I'm scraped through my grade 5 paino also but to be fair I fall to pieces in the exams. You could see my hands shake on the keys. It was horrifying. Viola is my second instrument and I've received a distinction and merit so I really don't know where I was going wrong in the early stages of my piano. It's a bit worrying when the piano is supposed to be 1st instrument smile.gif

Oh! Scrapped through grade 5 theory back in 1995 also with a mark of 66. How close was that?

Rather shamefully, I passed with 101 in my grade 3 oboe blink.gif To be fair, it was at a point when I really didn't want to play the oboe, so I made no effort whatsoever! I got a distinction in my next exam though, so at least it didn't actually say anything about my potential!

113 grade 5 cornet (I think that was the mark anyway)
That was in 2004, and the experience has put me off exams ever since!

That's exactly the pass mark! laugh.gif
I posted a while back that mine was 115 for grade 3 piano. I managed to pass g5 with 131 and theory with 95, though...
Grade 6 piano predicted mark: 99/150 (i hope not!)

116 for Grade 3 Piano. It was my first piano exam, my third instrument, I was very nervous, my fingers would not stop shaking. I was late for the exam by 15 minutes, they were actually early! Every piano exam since then has been much more releaxed fortunately.

I've taken 16 practical exams and this is the worst mark by far, my only 'Pass' but im ok with it considering i jumped into grade 3 piano from not playing piano at all.

96/150 for Grade 6 violin. Oh yeah. Not done a violin exam since!

I got 111 twice, for violin and piano, both grade 2.
But neither was my fault:
I did the piano on the same day as my grade 1 piano. and for some reason i did it before grade 1. So technically it was my first ever exam (not counting prep test) and I was only 8.
The violin, I had a bit of a bad teacher. He was a lovely old man but he was a bit of a rambler and i didn't have an accompanist.
And then a few years later I got a prize for getting the highest mark for grade 5-8 strings in my area that term. Which is pretty much my best achievement ever.
And as for sax, I've got distinctions (including 139 my highest ever) in every exam I've ever done, until grade 6 which I just did, and got 127. But considering my scales were absolutely APPALLING i thought it was pretty good smile.gif

My first piano exam, I got 103 for grade 3 piano.. was late for the exam and messed up the pieces and scales..

the next exam is grade 5, got better.. 121.. with full marks in aural

and unfortunately, grade 6, got only 96.. and I failed aural

after that is grade 8 - I got 120.. just nice merit smile.gif

and then ATCL - 67/100 (missed dist by 8 marks!)

yup.. so the worst one is grade 6

I know someone who got like, 43 for grade 2 theory.. never knew anyone can get so low for G2..
fluterocks
I've done 4 practical exams (1, 3, 4, 6) and only ever got 2 scores, 120 (3,6)or 131 (1,4) (both twice)...strange really that both my 120 ones I got full marks on aural, and scraped through my scales and the distinction it was the other way round!

my worst result is 122 in G2 piano
My best result though is 123 in G1 piano

My lowest mark is also my most imopressive mark (not that is is my highest, but I was shocked when I got it) it is 100 for Grade 7 piano...slap bang on the pass margin....it was the worst exam I had ever done....and the week I did it I also had my driving test (which I passed) and 2 Further Maths A level exams (which again I passed) but did I pass any of them well....ummm....no apart from driving.
But, yeah, I am pleased I passed, and with such an impressive score wink.gif

I have similar feelings about my 101 for Grade 8 piano.

I didn't have any other exams the week I took it but took it before I was really ready as I wanted to get it done before final year of GCSE. I thought if I didn't take it then, I would never take it - (as had been the case with my sis). So glad I did it and glad I passed. A pass is a pass after all! biggrin.gif

I got 100 for my Gr 2 piano a long time ago in the sixties. I found the mark sheet when I was looking for my Gr 5 theory certificates and judging by the examiner's comments I think I was very lucky to pass!

102 for Grade 1 Violin.

This was a really stupid exam. I was dead keen on doing my grade 1 exam before I went to secondary school but for some reason we had to change the exam date, which meant I didn't see my teacher for about a month before the exam (summer holdiays or something).

So off I went to the exam with no idea what I was doing. My sister accompanied me for the exam (she was in year 8 and must have had about grade 4 piano). I took my violin into the exam in its case and didn't know how to tune it, so the examiner did it for me, or as best he could. Me and my sister must have looked like a right pair of amatuers!
I cried all the way home because it was so awful. But I think the examiner let me scrape a pass because he felt sorry for us!

It was up hill from there though.

My lowest score is now 120 for grade 3 piano
though if i haddnt gotten 12/21 for my sightreading my mark would have been alot higher!
