I'm going to live in Germany next year as an exchange student and am interested in possibly trying this. I'm kind of lost though as to how to start.

First of all, I have no idea what level I'm at. I just recently had my recital and received new repertoire. This is what I'm working on now:

Nocturne in E Flat, Op. 9 No. 2 - Chopin
Hexentanz/Witches' Dance - MacDowell
Sonata in C Minor, Op. 10 No. 1 - Beethoven (just the 1st movement for now, but I'll probably go on to the others later)
I'm also working on finishing up all of Bartók's Romanian Dances.
What level are those?

How would I go about getting involved in this? When I meet my new piano teacher in Germany, would I just ask him/her about it? Is this even very popular in Germany? I saw that the representative is very close to where I'll be.

Excuse my ignorance if these are stupid questions smile.gif

What is it you are interested in getting involved in?! Are you talking about music exams? Which country do you live in now?

Yes, I'm interested in taking the music exams.

I live in the United States and the closest representative is pretty far away from me.
