I subscribed for a year but I'm really not a magazine person so I don't get it any more.

I have quite a few copies of it, although haven't been buying it recently, as it was getting expensive. I must admit I bought it more for the music and cds. In that respect it was very useful, for trying something new etc.

Piano Magazine is the one for me.
The above page contains sample articles etc (pdf format).

I was keen on it when it first came out, but buy it only occasionally now. I suppose I used it more during the first 2.5 years when I didn't have a teacher, but now it's been largely superseded by my having lessons, although the music is very handy, of course, and I can use the easier pieces for sight reading practice.

I subscribed for a year but didn't really like the print type of the free music so haven't actually used any of the music anyway. It was ok, I suppose. I also subscribed to Classical Pianist for a while too. Plus Music Teacher magazine, but found this had so little of any use to an instrumental teacher generally in individual issues that it was a bit of a waste of money. There were a few good articles here and there but not enough to warrant all the expense......
Edit: sorry - think it was Piano I also subscribed to.....

I have subscribed to the Pianist magazine for quite a while. The first year was bought as a birthday present one year. I have to say that I probably won't renew the subscription again as I think I've got a bit fed up with it. Some of the music in the centre has been quite useful though, particularly the duets just for something different to play.

I get it occasionally, if I happen to see it in Smiths and I've just been paid.
It's nice to have a wider library of music to bash through, sight read or learn properly.

I subscribe to it and actually won the "Star Letter" prize in the readers letters section in issue no 28 ( The one with Lucy Parham's pretty face on the cover)
The music scores and CD's are very good and in general I think the magazine is good value for money.
