I had a rehearsal today with the music teacher at my college, and she said that when I am running out of breath my low notes tend to go flat huh.gif How do I remedy this, because when I'm trying to finish the phrase, I'm generally trying to keep playing and not pass out or something blink.gif .

If it's flute you're talking about .

If so ... try rolling the flute outwards a little bit . You could also aim the air stream upwards when you are playing the lower notes or you could just think "up" . I find that just by thinking about trying to make the note sharper i can get the note in tune . Hope that helps .

Thanks, I'll give that a go next time.

A useful trick is to lift your chin up as you play the last couple of notes. Experiment to find out how much you need to do it. It is easier to control a vertical movement of the chin than rolling the flute out. smile.gif
