What does a registrant mean??

I have just seen this word from the syllabus.

Thanks

They take the register and make sure both named examiners are present on the day.

OK, a registrant can pull out/push in stops for the organist. As it says in the syllabus, they can also act as a page turner.

I've also used my registrant to:

i. Make the tea for the examiners
ii. Iron my shirt, ahead of the recital
iii. French polish the organ console so it's nice and shiny before the exam
iv. Babysit my kids whilst I'm out on the town celebrating another scraped diploma pass
v. Play the actual pieces in the exam and get them to pretend they are me

Are the scraped pass and the impersonation somehow connected?
