I was wondering what guitar strings other classical guitarists are using on this forum. I'm currently using Martin's hard tension and I think there good quality.

I've got savarez (red card) on mine. I really like the sound of them. When I swapped to them the guitar became much more resonant and brighter.

D'Addario EJ 46 hard tension

I've ony just started playing again after a 20 year lay off so not much experience. Currently using La Bella strings medium tension. They seem fine but I'm going to try D'Addario's Pro Arte Composites next as I've been told they can reduce the finger squeaking (anything to help my playing!).

I like the Hanabach "Goldin" trebles - and thier high ten basses - the composites were new to me when I picked up again in Dec '03 after a lengthy layoff - but I like them - nice clear and clean trebles. I use then on both spruce and cedar tops with equal satisfaction.
