I have just started the second volume of Mazas studies (after finishing the first volume), and I found that the second volume is a lot harder than the first volume!
Is it really so or is it the problem with my techniques?

No, the second volume is harder! For studies I think they are quite tuneful.
Are you familiar with Fiorillo, they are about the same level, maybe on a par with first volume of Mazas.

But I haven't heard of Fiorillo before. Am thinking of getting myself the Kreutzer studies soon, to play alongside with the Mazas 2nd volume. Just hope that I won't give up before I finished it
