This might seem like a stupid question, but I'm not sure whether I should be swinging the quavers or not! From the title of the piece I would assume so, but nothing is marked as such on the music. Anyone played it, or have a recording?

I'm playing all of it, probably the first movement for my exam (what pieces did you do?) My previous grade 8 preparation was interrupted by having a baby, and now the same baby takes up all my time, so I'm not expecting a great mark. I'm going to have a go though.

Tabasco (good old James Rae - played his studies for my other 3 exams - grades 5, 6 and 7!) and the Bach. Just got the Bach and Holcombe yesterday, so far they are going OK. I have known the scales for ages, and having done them also on other instruments helps. Likewise the aural. I've been doing a lot of sight reading too, and the ones in the ABRSM examples book aren't too bad. I should pass on the strength of my supporting tests even if the pieces aren't as good as I'd like, but will be embarrassed if I get a low mark - my lowest on saxophone so far is 135, but when I was 12 I got 100 in my clarinet grade 5!!! huh.gif
