Recently when I've been bored I've been writing some 'poetry'/song lyrics, nothing serious, just stuff to amuse myself. I've found it quite relaxing actually. Anywho, I've decided to post a couple here, just to see what you think...

Neither are serious at all, so don't get too worried about my mental state...

Numero Uno

When I’ve had a hard day,
And nothing has gone right,
When I’m feeling rather down,
And the sun’s not shining bright,

There’s always one who’s there,
Waiting for as long it takes,
One who can be always relied upon,
One who never fakes,
In the wardrobe they wait,
Hanging there for me,
As I put my coat around them,
I sing this little ditty,

Oh, my coat hanger,
You are my rock when I am down,
Oh, my hanger of coats,
You never wear a frown,
Oh my dearest friend,
You’re always there,
I hang my coat on you,
You never seem to care,

Everyone has left me,
Left me on my own,
No one’s there to comfort me,
No one to hear my groans,
I go through each day all by myself,
Wishing a friend was near,
Until I get home to my bedroom,
With you I have no fear.

Oh, my coat hanger,
You are my rock when I am down,
Oh, my hanger of coats,
You never wear a frown,
Oh my dearest friend,
You’re always there,
I hang my coat on you,
You never seem to care,

I hope you’ll never leave me,
I hope you’ll always be there,
I hope you’ll be my coat hanger,
I hope I’ll never have to share.

Numero Duo

I've been wondering,
What really makes you tick,
What you truly think,

Is your head full of turmoil,
Full of worry and despair?
Or is there nothing in there at all,
Is it simply filled with air?

Do you ponder great dilemmas,
Trying to help the human race?
Or are you slightly simpler,
Staring blankly into space?

Do you just think of calculations,
Of long and complex sums?
Or do you sit and struggle,
With things like 1 + 1?

Are you quite creative,
Does your mind act and dance and sing?
Or are you far too distracted,
By your telephone's new ring?

Do other people fill your brain,
With their happiness sorrow?
Or do they just not understand you,
As you keep babbling about some crow?

I guess what I'm trying to say,
Attemping to get across,
Is 'Are you just too busy,
Or just a total loss?'


Constructive criticism would be nice, although it is just a hobby, so don't get too involved...

sorry, I'm not trying to make fun or anything, I think they're great! (but I am worried about your mental state, even if you aren't...)
