Sunday morning: a Bach cantata in a gorgeous perfomance conducted by Masaaki Susuka. His group (the Bach Collegium Japan) is unbeatable for sound quality all round: players, chorus and soloists.

I ripped all the new CDs I got yesterday to my iPod, so was listening to Michael Nyman's "The Piano" soundtrack on the train before I got into work smile.gif I'd been meaning to buy that for ages!

I have an 8GB Nano which is big enough at the moment... I go through phases so usually have a big clearout and put new stuff on it now and then.

Beethoven Piano Sonata Op 31 No 2
Beethoven Violin Sonata Op 12 No 2
Brahms Balladen Op10
Chopin , a couple of Mazurkas
Debussy, Les Soirees dans Granade, Jardins sous la Pluie.

(reminds me of a misprint in a programme , 'Jardins sans La Pluie' !!, quite the opposite intended)

What a blast from the past. I haven't heard those guys for nearly 30 years. I remember my parents had a copy of Seeds. It got quite a bit of play in our house at the time. Just checked the album cover - a beauty truly of its time.
