Sinfonia Sacra:Hymn.
I am wondering how artificial harmonics can be made to sound so good.

I love that piece, it took a long time to grow on me but it's very special to me now, we played the whole thing last year (I'm guessing this is Panufnik?)
The harmonics are horrible to do when they don't work and fantastic when they do... out of interest, what recording are/were you listening to?

The only one available on spotify by the national opera orchestra of monte carlo.
In our last rehearsal of this piece, we are pefroming it for christmas and end of term concert, the artificial harmonics sounded pretty dreadful and the rest of it sounded absoultely lovely.
The three visions are also pretty great, I enjoy playing them as well, obviously not vision I becuase it is trumpet only.
