I'm in my office right now, which is open plan, so obviuosly I can hear forty+ other people typing, talking, etc. But every time it falls quiet...three clocks were put up on the wall this weekend (one for the US office, one for us, one for the Bangalore office) - and I can hear them ticking.

So that's what I'm listening to right now; give it two hours and I'll be in my car and listening to Handel's recorder sonatas...

Poor you, Maizie.. wacko.gif

I'm listening to drip..drip..Ting! drip..drip..Ting! (The noises in my right ear). I'm trying to work out the interval between the second "drip" and the "ting". Sounds tonic to dominant to me. smile.gif

Currently, I'm listening to sounds of various PC case fans, one of which is obviously misalligned.

But yes, I think some music could be a good plan. Bit of Classic Trance Nation, maybe?

It was a birthday present from my brother, the Monster tour, '95 I think - on the hallowed turf of Cardiff rams Park (RIP)

It was excellent, if you ever get the chance go see them.

I love Driver 8 biggrin.gif I'm gonna have that going round and round my head now biggrin.gif another really catchy one of their older stuff is Stand, which just gets stuck in your head for HOURS! smile.gif

I'm a big (not to say obsessive...) REM fan, have been since the early 90s, have almost all their albums, a fair clutch of singles, a couple of videos, a book, and a T-shirt laugh.gif

So you'll be listening to it at 10.30 in the morning - or listening to more rain laugh.gif

Well after the cricket (I don't care whose playing I just love it on in the background even when I'm not really 'listening' - Aggers and Co. are just tops. Come on Durham!) But anyway - my 'song of the month' is Say, Love, If Ever Thou Didst Find' sang by Emma Kirkby and oops not sure off hand - anyway it's from John Dowland's Third Book of Songs and it's just driving my nuts with enjoyment. A bit dangerous as I've spent most of the month up a ladder redecorating the ceilings!!

She, she, she and only she.
She only Queen of love and beauty.

Hurmph - bet Elizabeth 1st didn't have to paint her own ceilings!! I'm bound to do a 'Mrs Doyle' before I've finished. laugh.gif laugh.gif But I'll be flying to floor to 'she she she and only she' ohmy.gif

I love the Finzi 5 Bagatelles. Though, to listen to, I have a version with strings instead of piano.

Listening to Poulenc Sonata for Clarinet at the moment - will have to listen to the Finzi when I get to the end of this.

From the CD insert:
"The Bagatelles, completed as a set in 1943, were subsequently arranged for clarinet and strings by Lawrence Ashmore."

The recording is Naxos 8.553566 with Robert Plane and the Northern Sinfonia.

Hope that helps,
