I think it's time I did some more flexi-arrangements biggrin.gif

So I'm listening to various 50s/60s/70s theme tunes/pieces of music that might translate well to flexible ensemble.

Currently listening to 'At the Sign of the Swinging Cymbal' by Brian Fahey and his Orchestra. Gold star to the forumite who can tell me what programme that music is used for. biggrin.gif

Moved onto the theme from 'Man in a Suitcase' (or TFI Friday, depending on your era). Think it's got too much brass for a flexi-work, though unsure.gif ...
hothedgehog
I'm listening to Biffy Clyro. I find that I rarely listen to 'classical' music but when i do i'll have a big binge and spend about half a day doing so!

currently listening to "one song to the tune of another" courtesy of the I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue team!! laugh.gif

Are the foo fighters better than nirvana?
Haven't listened to either in ages, but I reckon nirvana have the edge. Maybe it's something to do with dying young being a good career move.

Glad you like it! biggrin.gif

I've moved on to the theme from 'Department S'. After having listened to the theme from 'The Champions'. The latter might work for flexi-ensemble, not sure the first is well known enough...

Yes. Dave Grohl is a legend. Then there's the Queens of the Stone Age.

Actually the Prokofiev Classical Symphony is rather good too.
