More a case of "What are you not listening to?" this week. 3 days in a row I've turned off Radio 3 at 12 o'clock when "Composer of the Week" came on. Sondheim. Uughh. Banal dross. All I can think of is Josie Lawrence and Mike Mcshane doing spoof musicals on "Whose line is it anyway?".

Interpretative/contemporary

we have a girl acting out the part of the murderer, and her mother, and then the rest of the dancers are being either people who know what she's done, or figures in one of her bad dreams...all very strange, but a splendid bit of choreography nonetheless!

Complete recordings of Alfred Brendel on Vox, Turnabout and Vanguard labels.
Boxed set. 35 CDs for 44 EUROS!!
Complete Beethoven, lots of Mozart, Schubert, Liszt, the Chopi Polonaises, a bit of Schumann, and miscellaneous 20th century Russians.

I was listening to it on my way home from the Easter early music course (I'm non-resident as I only live 30 minutes' drive away). Very appropriate listening.

I'm now listening to No 3 son and friends playing pro-Evo soccer (or something similar) and hoping they finish soon because my bedroom is above the TV room.
