An IPlayer re-run of Weber's 1st clarinet concerto (slow movement) that I heard on radio 3 this morning at approx. 7.11am. The Age of Enlightenment orchestra with clarinetist Anthony Pay. It was recorded some 25 years ago and is quite the best recording of it that I've ever heard. What do all you clarinatists think?

Thought it might be a good idea to do some advance listening.
I don't do enough listening generally and am under instruction to do more.
On to Carmen now.
Thinking I might be able to play at least some of the clari bits.....

We don't know exactly which bits we'll be doing....... And I don't exactly have time to fit in extra stuff to learn right now. Will take my chance on the day.

I *was* listening to Beethoven's eighth symphony (nostalgia after reading about dulcet's orchestral workshop).... then I thought to myself "self, you haven't read libretto online for a while now"... so I did.... and the last page had an advert for a song to teach people about intervals.... so I looked on youtube.... and now I can't hear anything else... even the Beethoven isn't drowning it out in my head.... it's worse than "I know a song that will get on your nerves"
