Was listening to R3 in the car on the way to work, and am not sure I like the way it's going. There is a lot of chat and phoning in happening and it isn't that interesting, tbh.
Wish they'd just get back to the music.

Haven't had a chance to listen to the new thing that comes after it; 'Essential Classics', is it called? Would be interested to hear any views on this but it sounds from the promo to be a bit of an exercise in 'accessibility'.

I get the impression they are making early morning and evening a bit more fluffy (breakfast and commuting time?). "In Tune" can also get a bit irritating. Luckily there are still a majority of shows on Radio 3 which manage to be entertaining AND informative.

World Routes on radio 3 - some sort of duduk-type reed instrument from Albania - very "atmospheric" sound. Very reminiscent of Armenian music, though they're nowhere near one another. I love Armenian music.
And now it's sounding more like Greek. That's ll do me too - I also love Greek music.
