Good old John Cage eh? I have been listening to my favourite Christmas cd of all time by the Hassler consort. Their version of Stille Nacht is just beautiful.
The Tradge
Currently, Schumann Cello Concerto in A minor, Pierre Fournier being the soloist =)

I'm about to go out, but I have, to brighten up a dull day weather wise, just been listening to some Christmas songs of various descriptions. biggrin.gif

John Adams violin concerto played by Chloe Hanslip. Haven't quite got to grips with it all yet but the third movement is utterly fantastic... I wish I could play it but I'm still only Grade 3!!!
Miss Ross
I found my foot tapping to some bagpipes a minute ago blink.gif, but for once they sound really good!

Delta's new album!! laugh.gif wub.gif tongue.gif

At the moment I'm listening to the song 'Believe Again' - it has BEAUTIFUL orchestral string sections at the beginning....and then a beat comes in and it's kind of dancey (but still with gorgeous melodies!) and for the coda the strings return - LOVE IT!!! wub.gif

Saint-saens synphony no.3, "Pour Orgue", 4th movement, the allegro maestro. it's fantastic. i love the bit with the part where the organ plays the pedals underneath the orchestra when they play the tune near the begining, with the deep 32 foot pipes!

Just finished watching Gergiev and the LSO on BBC 4, in Debussy's "La mer" and "L'apres-midi ..", with "Rite of Spring" and some weird Prokofiev: "Seven, they are seven". Great playing, some slightly odd balance that could well have been a result of microphone placing.
Devil_Fiddler
Songs from Titanic the Musical. It's so sad!! *sniff*

Now listening: Steve Harley and cockney rebel - Make me smile.

It's quality.

I don't mind DG, but it's nothing on Radiohead wink.gif
