I tried watching some MTV and Music Channel last night. It was awful. There is more musical content in two bars of most Beethoven than the life's work of some of these so-called musicians. It is more about posing and attitude than the music.

10cc - a very underrated group. They wrote some rather good lyrics (well, maybe apart from 'Donna', but I think I can forgive them that! ).

Une nuit a Paris is particularly good, I think. They were never the same after the split, though.

True andante. Godley and Creme did make some very, very good music videos after the split though.
